We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Floating Support Worker to join our Mental Health service in Richmond. As a key member of our team, you will provide flexible and individually tailored support to vulnerable individuals, helping them to maintain their tenancy, stay well, and participate in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/Manager
- Assess needs and potential risks, agreeing levels of support and actions
- Create support/action plans to provide appropriate services based on assessment and available resources
- Build supportive, trusting relationships with customers
- Work proactively with the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
- Support customers to undertake domestic tasks, including practical assistance where needed
- Develop links with local statutory and voluntary organisations to provide engagement opportunities for customers
- Empower customers to access services and benefits they are entitled to
- Undertake administrative work and maintain accurate tenant/customer records
- Encourage and enable tenants to pay rent and manage rent accounts effectively
- Adhere to Look Ahead's Policies and Procedures
- Engage in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills
- Provide day-to-day instruction/supervision of Assistant Support Workers/domestic staff/Personal Support Assistants
- Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post
