Special Education Support Worker
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Education Support Worker to join our team at a happy, thriving, and growing special school for children and young people aged 4-19 with severe and complex learning difficulties.
About the Role
- Support students with severe and complex learning difficulties, including those with an additional diagnosis of autism and/or physical/sensory disabilities;
- Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment;
- Assist with assessment and planning as overseen by the Class Teacher;
- Contribute to the development of individual learning plans to support students with their educational and personal goals.
Requirements
- Have experience of working with children and young people with severe and complex learning difficulties;
- Have good communication and numeracy skills;
- Be well organised and able to contribute to assessment and planning as overseen by the Class Teacher;
- Be creative and have an enthusiastic, imaginative and caring approach to supporting students with their learning.
