Trainee Business Development Consultant (Vehicle Contract Hire & Leasing)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Business Development Consultant to join a privately owned privately owned leasing and fleet management company in Basildon, Essex. We are looking for a driven and passionate individual to join our sales team at entry level trainee who are looking to jump straight into their career within a thriving busy workplace environment and supportive team. We offer a full training program to be tailored to your own personal development, a generous commission structure along with exceptional opportunities for progression for the right candidate. The role of trainee sales is very important to us. The goal is to help you grow in confidence with a view to bring you fully into the sales team with internal progression opportunities. You will be working full-time on a permanent basis (Monday- Friday 9am-5pm) and will be met with a competitive salary and 22 days holiday plus bank holidays. Salary: From £20k-£25k basic salary + commission + benefits with an OTE of £35k in year 1. Commission payable from the 1st month

About the Role:

An opportunity to join our established sales team in Basildon, Essex. Candidates with a will to learn and be trained in all aspects of sales support and our sales process can expect ongoing support and development, in time to become a full time BDM/Account Manager. Day to day duties will include:

• Actively and tenaciously seek out new business opportunities via sales, cold calling, networking events and identifying opportunities.

• Prepare, submit, follow up and report on quotations.

• Promptly respond to customer requests, in a professional and efficient manner, providing an exceptional customer service

• Provide technical specialist back-up to the sales team.

• Shadow senior sales members to learn about the day-to-day role, including external sales meetings with new prospects and existing customers.

• Work closely with teams across various departments, i.e., Administration and Marketing to understand the day to day running of our business as well our sales processes.

• Support the sales team fully with day-to-day sales activities, including telesales, marketing activities helping to deliver and improve brand awareness across social media platforms.

About the Candidate:

• No experience necessary as full training provided. However, if you have telesales experience this would be an advantage.

• This is not for the faint hearted – A strong work ethic is imperative with a competitive spirit

• Good communication skills – written and verbal.

• Ability to engage with customers face to face and via the telephone.

• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload effectively.

• A good team player.

• Presentable and likeable.

• Willingness to learn and develop.
