Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Buyer to join our Buying team at OnetoOne Personnel. As a Trainee Buyer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Buying team by completing administrative activities and learning the essentials to become a successful Buyer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Buying team by completing administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Conduct market research to gather pricing information and create listings of products.
  • Assist in uploading product information into our systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Take ownership of smaller accounts and develop a plan to take on more significant responsibilities.
  • Support the New Business team by analyzing commercial deals and identifying opportunities to target supplier gaps.
  • Conduct customer and competitor shopping visits to gather insights and share findings with the team.

Requirements:

  • Strong numeracy skills, with a minimum of Grade 5 at GCSE Level Maths & English.
  • A trading mindset, with a passion for negotiation and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Negotiation skills training.
  • Sales or Buying experience.
  • Confidence in using core Microsoft Office applications.
