We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Pharmacy Dispenser. As a Trainee Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective running of the dispensary, meeting the organisation's timeframes for prescribed medication dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough checks on patient prescriptions to ensure accuracy and authenticity
  • Dispense and label medications correctly, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for medication handling, storage, dispensing, and documentation
  • Verify proper storage of medications according to their specific requirements, such as temperature, light exposure, and humidity
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of medication dispensed to patients, including patient information, medication details, and treatment history

Requirements:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths is preferred
  • Previous experience in a dispensary or pharmacy setting is highly desirable
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment is advantageous
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications is a plus
