H&S Officer – Widnes
Skilltech Resourcing are currently recruiting for a H&S officer for their client in the Widnes area, an integral role within a manufacturing business operating across a range of industrial sectors.
As a H&S officer you will: -
* Support the directors in maintaining and improving H&S systems.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
* Provide H&S guidance and support to the operational teams promoting best practices and risk management.
* Monitor and deliver H&S training programs for all staff and conduct inductions/ issue and record PPE etc.
* Assist with incident investigations, identify root causes and corrective actions.
* Prepare H&S reports for directors.
* Maintain company systems and procedures with all new legislation/ developments in health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
We are looking for a H&S officer with the following: -
* IOSH or NEBOSH (or working towards NEBOSH).
* An understanding of H&S legislation.
* Experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Familiarisation with ISO auditing.
A permanent position that could suit a H&S graduate with some relevant manufacturing experience and looking to further develop their career within health and safety.
Salary up to £34,000.
25 days holiday per year plus statutory bank holidays.
Day shift Monday to Friday (38.5 hours)
