Deputy Manager - Residential Childcare

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £36,270 per annum

Location: Castleford, West Yorkshire

Working Hours:

46.5 hours per week

Schedule: 3 shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, plus 1 shift of 24 hours, including a sleep-in.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager for a residential childcare setting in Castleford. This role involves supporting the management team in providing high-quality care to young people aged 8-18 who have experienced significant challenges and trauma. The Deputy Manager will help ensure a safe, nurturing, and developmental environment for the young people, while also contributing to the professional growth and support of the care team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in the daily management of the residential home, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations.

* Serve as a positive role model for both staff and young people, fostering a supportive and development-focused environment.

* Support the team in delivering tailored care plans that meet the individual needs of each young person.

* Manage staff schedules, training, and development in conjunction with the management team.

* Oversee the day-to-day operations, including administrative duties and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Experience & Qualifications:

* Minimum 2 years of experience in residential childcare or a related field, with some supervisory or management experience.

* Level 3/4 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce or equivalent (preferred).

* Full UK driving license is essential
