Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team in Horley, Surrey. As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing tailored support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your primary focus will be on helping these students achieve their academic goals and develop essential skills in a supportive environment.

Job Duties:

Developing individualised learning plans for students with SEN
Delivering engaging and interactive lessons based on students' learning needs
Assessing students' progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly
Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development
Providing feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experience

Required Qualifications:

Experience working with students with SEN
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A passion for education and supporting student growth

Education:

Relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs

Experience:

Prior experience working as an SEN Tutor or in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of various SEN conditions and learning difficulties
Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional certifications in Special Educational Needs
Experience in creating and implementing individual education plans

Working Conditions:

This position involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The role may require flexibility in working hours to accommodate students' schedules. The work environment will be in an educational setting, providing a supportive and enriching space for student learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
