About the role:
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) with a specialism in SEMH needs to join our dynamic team at a primary school in Cheshunt, London. This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for someone who is looking to make a significant impact in the field of education and special needs support.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with a focus on SEMH needs.
• A good understanding of SEMH and strategies to support children with these needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to adapt and deliver the curriculum to meet the needs of students with SEMH.
