Owned by Cambridgeshire County Council, our success directly benefits the communities we serve. As we expand, we need an experienced Land Manager with a passion for identifying and securing prime development opportunities from acquisition to planning permission.

You’ll be leading the acquisition and promotion of new opportunities while managing a Strategic Land Portfolio. A senior leader within our Land team, you will use your networks to introduce us to new regions and secure off-market land opportunities. Promoting land parcels to developers and investors, highlighting development opportunities.

Champion land acquisitions that align with our vision for sustainable growth.
Identify and secure long-term promotion agreements for prime development sites through internal searches and your extensive network.
Develop comprehensive planning and promotion strategies to maximise development value and minimise costs.
Lead negotiations with landowners, manage external consultants, and forge high-profile relationships with local planning authorities, external property contacts, local agents, landowners, and developers.

A minimum of 10 years experience in strategic land, promotion and / or acquisition.
Strong understanding of the housebuilding industry, including land acquisition and disposal.
Proven track record of securing long-term option agreements for strategic land sites.
Strong planning knowledge and experience navigating the planning process.
Excellent relationship-building skills working with stakeholders, politicians, and landowners.
