Summary:

Do you have a passion for both Cookie Dough and Retail? As our Retail Account Executive, you'll be the vital link between Doughlicious and our valued retail partners in the UK and other key markets, fostering strong, collaborative relationships that drive growth. You'll manage the seamless exchange of information between Doughlicious and retailers, ensuring smooth operations across both business and retail systems. This role offers the unique opportunity to combine your love of treats with your business acumen.

Responsibilities but not limited to:

Account Management:

· Build genuine and lasting relationships with our retail partners, becoming their trusted advisor and main point of contact for all things Doughlicious.

· Proactively communicate with retail partners to ensure timely resolution of any concerns or challenges.

· Conduct regular business reviews with retail partners to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and strategize for growth.

Sales Growth:

· Develop and execute creative strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets, ensuring our Dough flies off the shelves.

· Identify and explore new sales opportunities within existing accounts and potential new partnerships.

· Continuously monitor and analyse sales performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Systems Superstar:

· Master the ins and outs of retailer, third party syndication and distributor systems (e.g., Unleashed, Tesco Partner Toolkit, Morrisons Data Hub, Waitrose Supplier Portal, WFM Syndigo, 1World Sync, etc.), ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience from start to finish.

· Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly to minimize disruptions to sales and customer service.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date product information, imagery and pricing within retail systems.

Product Placement:

· Negotiate optimal product placement within retail stores, maximizing visibility and enticing shoppers to indulge.

· Ensure proper product rotation and stock management to maintain freshness and minimize waste.

· Collaborate with retail partners to develop creative and eye-catching displays that showcase our products.

Promotional Partner:

· Collaborate with the marketing team and customer base to create, execute, and maintain impactful campaigns and in-store events.

· Develop and maintain a strong promotional calendar to deliver profitable growth in the accounts and support the team's growth goals.

· Track and analyse trade spend and promotional performance to measure effectiveness and optimize future campaigns.

Trend Tracker:

· Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring market trends and competitor activities, identifying new opportunities for growth.

· Share relevant market insights with the team to inform product development and marketing strategies.

· Proactively suggest new product ideas or product improvements based on market trends and customer feedback.

Data Detective:

· Analyse sales figures to uncover valuable insights, sharing your findings to drive informed decision-making.

· Review sales data to ensure we are promoting the correct items with the proper price point for the market area.

· Use data to identify potential issues early on and take proactive measures to mitigate them.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Proven track record of success in retail sales, account management, or a similar role.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Proven negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends from data.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Pattern

This role is primarily based in our office, where you'll work 37.5 hours per week, typically from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, with an hour-long unpaid lunch break. However, we value flexibility and understand that the demands of the role may occasionally require adjustments to your schedule.
