Job Description

  • Define and develop detailed project plans, including resources, timeline, and budget
  • Collate, migrate and/or develop comprehensive project plans, and link to an overarching programme-level plan.
  • Establish a project schedule, critical path and milestones
  • Ensure all relevant planning data is also populated within the client's PPM Tool for enterprise portfolio management oversight
  • Use Microsoft Project for project scheduling, work/product breakdown approaches
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Monitor project progress, anticipate potential issues, and implement corrective measures
  • Report on project statuses and metrics to management
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in project management methodologies
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Planning Specialist should:

  • Be highly skilled in the use of MS Project
  • Have solid knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
  • Have proven experience in a similar role within the professional services industry or NHS
  • Have strong organisational and planning skills
  • Have excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Be proficient in project management software tools
