We are really excited to be recruiting a Strategic Initiative & Transformation Lead on a 12 month fixed term basis to join our team to lead and drive the successful delivery of Strategic Initiatives and Transformation projects and programmes across the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) working closely with the Head of Strategic Initiatives & Transformation.

This role is pivotal to the delivery of our strategic initiatives and programmes in line with NHSBSA Corporate Strategies and Priorities in continuing to deliver value to all we serve. Working with colleagues, with customers, patients, citizens and partners in mind you’ll have the opportunity to lead and work on innovative approaches and projects across the NHS BSA and make a real impact to people’s lives.

To bring leadership, support and focus to successfully drive the delivery of nominated Strategic Initiatives and Transformation projects and programmes within the NHSBSA and externally as required.

The post holder will coordinate and support the Strategic Initiative and Transformation deliverables, ensuring there are robust and clear plans and deliverables are achieved in line with the corporate and departmental strategies and priorities of the NHSBSA and resource is clearly identified to drive delivery.

Supporting and ensuring there is a sustainable and successful strategic initiative function and capability, taking account of key stakeholder’s views to ensure the successful execution of NHSBSA strategic initiatives and transformation.

This will require assisting in the assessment and proposals to develop robust plans, supporting resources and capabilities across the NHSBSA to successfully implement and integrate the programmes mentioned below without destabilising or impacting delivery of core services:
Taxpayer Value Programme

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Initiatives & Transformation, support the identification and development of a Taxpayer Value Programme (TVP) pipeline of work with associated delivery plans to ensure delivery of a cross NHSBSA TVP Programme to help inform business planning, Strategic and Operational opportunities, and forecasting.

Ensure that all the Initiatives and Transformation activities work together to drive efficiencies, improvements, and sustainability of the organisation.

Support the Design, Implementation and oversight of NHSBSA ALB Review Recommendations

Coordinate and support the Arm's Length Bodies (ALB) Review Recommendations, ensuring there is a robust plan, milestones and resource identified to ensure implementation across the NHSBSA.

This will involve providing accurate and insightful information to the to the Head of Strategic Initiatives & Transformation, Leadership Team and others as required, liaising with teams to understand strategic and operational imperatives, and developing and presenting highly sensitive and contentious information and reports.

New Initiatives and Transformation

Support and enable change by working with internal and external stakeholders e.g., Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England and other ALBs to ensure the NHSBSA is seen as a thought leader in relation to new initiatives and transformation programmes at a National/System level.

Providing analytical and critical thinking skills combined with the resilience and determination to drive and make change happen ensuring risks are managed and mitigated.
