We are recruiting for a Catering Development Assistant who is passionate about ensuring that all catering policies are implemented in our public house kitchens. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week based from home.
The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.

As the Catering Development Assistant, you will work closely with various site kitchen personnel to ensure compliance in all aspects of kitchen Duties.

The key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all Allergen Information is up to date within the Allergen file.
  • Responsible for delivering relevant Company requirements through training sessions to kitchen teams
  • Ensure any food specials are fully costed and margins are to company standard and charged appropriately.
  • Work with the Head of Catering on the development of new dishes
  • Analysing and creating new dishes for our specials bank
  • Reviewing and reporting on food data for each site.
  • Ability to work in the company kitchens at busy times ensuring that you lead by example
  • Ensuring that critical deadlines of specific tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Responsible for completing full kitchen audits, including Hygiene standards and legal compliance and resolving any issues detected.

Ideal candidates will:

  • Have a full clean driving licence
  • Have experience working in a busy commercial catering kitchen
  • Hold Hospitality Management Level 3
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Hold Level 2 food safety
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Word
