Priory is the UK's largest independent provider of Mental Health Services and Priory Cheadle Royal Hospital is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence across 13 wards which include acute adult wards, Eating Disorder Service, CAMHS, Rehabilitation, Acute and PICU services. Alder and Maple are both acute mental health units for adult male and female patients offering a 24-hour admission service to support local NHS services and PICU wards. Alder ward is a standalone unit within the grounds of Cheadle Royal Hospital, while Maple ward is situated within the main hospital building. For some patients, Alder or Maple ward will be their first admission to a mental health ward and the MDT will support them to overcome crisis and become well enough to be discharged into the community, whether this be home or to support living. The MDT consists of a Responsible Clinician (RC), Specialty Doctor, Ward Manager, Occupational Therapist, the Nursing Team and Psychology team and the goal of the MDT is to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of patients who come to either ward.
Assisting the Ward Manager in providing day to day management and supervision of the ward.
• Assisting the Ward manager in providing management and supervision of a team of registered and unregistered staff.
• Support the delivery of personalised care and contribute to service improvement.
The management of effective communication between medical and nursing staff both verbal and written is a key element of this role.
