Financial Crime Analyst

This is a great job for someone who has experience in relation to the application and completion of financial crime controls in investment and asset management (or other financial sectors such as Finance, Banking, or Insurance).

A bit about the job:

The team are accountable for Customer Due Diligence activity, financial crime screening, oversight of third parties performing financial crime services on behalf of AI and supporting the Global Financial Crime Operating Model. The team perform oversight and governance of a number of Financial Crime Controls and provide support, challenge and education to our front-line business teams. The Financial Crime Analyst will support the completion of financial crime controls to support and protect the business against financial crime. The key aspects of this role are to perform Sanction, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), State Owned Company (SOC) and Special Interest Screening, including investigation and escalation as required. You will be required to perform reviews and investigations of financial crime queries referred by third party suppliers in relation to corporate clients and retail natural person clients and provide support, challenge, and education to our front-line teams.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Good knowledge of Fraud, Anti Money Laundering, and broader Financial Crime regulations

Understand the management of risk with the ability to make risk-based decisions.

Track record in and good knowledge of Financial Crime processes including Customer Due Diligence, Transaction Monitoring, Politically Exposed Person, Sanction, State Owned Company and Special Interest Screening.

Good people skills, working collaboratively with the team and others.

Open, honest, supportive & constructive harmonious relationships are maintained and developed.
