Financial Crime Manager - Salary - national: circa £60,000, London: circa £75,000

A bit about the job:

The key purpose of this role is to use your expertise to provide advice, support, challenge, and 2nd line oversight of our markets to help manage the risk of financial crime. This will involve working closely with financial crime professionals within Group Financial crime and the wider business. You will support the Financial Crime Policy Manager deliver enhancements to the Financial Crime Business Standard and associated Minimum Compliance Standards, whilst providing financial crime expertise to the markets /stakeholders, ensuring effective oversight and challenge of market compliance. A key aspect of the role will be to identify, assess and manage financial crime risks and issue.

In this role, you will identify and anticipate changes in order to advise and define best practice. You will need a flexible and pragmatic approach to respond to developments at short notice coupled with the ability to plan ahead in response to a changing risk landscape and regulatory environment with a multi-year horizon.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Proven experience in understanding and delivering financial crime prevention plans through collaboration with others in a Financial Services environment
Experience of building and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders
Able to communicate complex technical concepts to specialist/non-specialist audiences
Risk aware, with experience in evaluating risk as part of business as usual activities
Passionate about putting the customer first, with real-world experience of doing this in a financial crime context

Salary national: circa £60,000, London: circa £75,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
