We are looking to recruit a Talent Acquisition Partner / Specialist to be responsible for the attraction, selection, and onboarding of experienced and Trainee Bus Drivers within our South business. Working closely with the business, you will understand the hiring requirements and effectively manage the pipeline to deliver sufficient candidates to fulfil the demand. You will provide effective recruitment advice and guidance to your stakeholders and come up with innovative solutions for attraction the best talent.

The role is hybrid so will include a few days on-site at our depots across the South area (including Stevenage, Harlow, Ware, Hemel Hempstead and Northfleet). There is a company car offered as part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Management of the recruitment delivery for all operational roles within the area - including volume hiring of Trainee and experience Bus Drivers and operational management / support roles.
  • Creation of local attraction campaigns, working closely with Operational Management to execute targeted advertising.
  • Utilisation of online attraction tools, understanding the effectiveness of the sources and optimising to deliver maximum results.
  • Ensure that all campaigns are delivered within agreed timescales to deliver the required number of candidates for operational roles to meet the workforce plan.
  • Work closely with Resourcers on the candidate pipeline through the initial screening process, analysis effectiveness and identity opportunities for improvement.
  • Co-ordination and facilitation of candidate interview/assessment days and analysis results.
  • Liaise with Training School to agree induction dates and capacity in line with the workforce plans.
  • Proactively manage candidate throughputs daily, identify and deliver appropriate interventions to address dips or peaks in candidate numbers against defined requirements.
  • Advise hiring managers on appropriate assessment tools where required.
  • Manage the relationships with key stakeholders within the designated recruitment activity area at a local level – (Hiring managers and HR teams where appropriate)
  • Contribute through own and team performance to the achievement of Recruitment KPI targets and SLAs.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience within an internal recruitment role and a proven track record of managing the end-to-end recruitment process within a volume frontline recruitment environment.
  • Experience of analysing candidate pipeline, source effectiveness and forecasting.
  • Confident with online and offline candidate search methodologies including CV databases, job boards and social media.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Attention to detail and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license as travel to depots and careers events would be required.
