Job Description

New Position: Sales/Account Manager

The new role will be positioned directly under the MDs of the business to handle all new business opportunities, whether they be from existing clients or through new lead generation.A list of outline duties can be found below:

Identifying Sales Goals:

Setting accurate and realistic sales goals based on the below whilst also providing weekly updates to the SMT as to how these are progressing:

·What the sales goals and targets should be (with the support of the SMT)

·How close their team is to hitting them

·What needs to change to achieve the sales goals

Support to Marketing Activities:

From the candidate's experience, share best practices with the SMT and marketing team to best achieve the sales goals set out above. Whilst this is a fundamental aspect of the role, it is not the most important skill we are looking to acquire, and other team members can support this.

Managing Accounts:

Like most companies, we have a few key accounts that are too important or valuable to leave for a new starter immediately. We would be looking to introduce the new sales manager to these accounts over time, allowing for successful indoctrination. From there, they will be the main point of contact for a majority of these accounts, but not limited to asking for support on some briefings from the SMT when larger or more complex projects arise.

Working Environment:

The role is offered as an office-based role and not a hybrid. We like to encourage collaborative working and, as such, actively seek someone to be in the office during standard working hours. However, we appreciate that the role may incur some late working or business travel. On such occasions, working from home or taking TOIL is more than accepted.

·Proven history of working within the VM, Retail and POS industry

·5 years plus experience

Salary:

·The salary will be DOE, yet the bracket we are looking towards is between £45-£55k per annum.

·We would be willing to review a commission scheme for the correct candidate, yet this will also depend on experience and proven history

·Whilst the role is not currently offered with a company vehicle, this can be reviewed once the chosen candidate has proven their abilities

Working Hours/Holiday Allowance:

·Standard office hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Mon-Fri with a one-hour lunch

·The role comes with 20 days of holiday plus statutory

Summary:
