Lynton Terrace is a registered residential care home regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Support is provided to 10 men and women with severe and enduring mental health needs who require support 24 hours a day.
Our vibrant and innovative service supports service users living with enduring mental health needs. As a Support Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Mental Health and Complex Needs Service. Manage a caseload of Service Users with a range of complex health and support needs and their carers to manage their health and wellbeing.
• Support service users to maintain their independence, identify their strengths and achieve their goals and aspirations, working in partnership with our subcontractors as required in order to achieve this, under the direction of the Team Manager.
• Provide day to day care and support of the service users in line with the actions identified in the care/support plans.
• To assist with the administration of medication, supporting service users to transition towards managing their own medication where appropriate.
• Actively monitor the health, wellbeing, safety and security of the service and its users ensuring all concerns are reported, followed up promptly in line with Hestia procedures.
• To carry out domestic tasks (including cooking and cleaning of the home) when appropriate.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
• Ability to assess service users' declining mental health and take appropriate action.
• Willingness to work unsociable hours within a rota system including weekends, evenings and sleep-ins.
• Willingness to maximise independence by motivating and supporting service users towards their goals.
• Willingness to travel and work across Hestia services when required.
• T. based Support Planning, Risk Assessment and Keyworking system.
