Interim Chief Technology Officer / Chief Information Officer Location: Contract Type: Interim (6-12 months)
Day rate: My client is a fast-growing, private equity backed manufacturing business that has achieved impressive growth and maintains a healthy EBITDA relative to revenue. As the business continues to scale, there is a critical need to upgrade their technology infrastructure to support there ambitious growth plans. They are seeking an experienced Interim CTO or CIO to lead this transformation.
The Interim CTO/CIO will be a key strategic leader within the business, tasked with evaluating the businesses current technology landscape, identifying gaps, and recommending a robust ERP system that aligns with the growth objectives. My client is also keen that the successful candidate is up to speed with newer technologies and the opportunities these create, such as AI. This role is pivotal to the long-term success, ensuring that the technology infrastructure can support and drive future business expansion.
Technology Assessment : Conduct a comprehensive review of the current technology stack and IT infrastructure to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Strategic IT Planning : Develop a technology roadmap that aligns with the company’s strategic goals, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and security.
Implementation Planning : Design and oversee the planning phase of the ERP implementation, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations and preparing the business for a seamless transition.
Stakeholder Engagement : Work closely with senior management, department heads, and external partners to ensure alignment and buy-in for the technology strategy.
Risk Management : Identify potential risks associated with the technology transformation and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
Provide regular updates to the CEO, board, and investors on project progress, challenges, and key milestones.
Proven experience as a CTO, CIO, or similar leadership role within a growing manufacturing or industrial business.
Strong track record of leading technology transformations, particularly in the selection and implementation of ERP systems.
Experience working within a private equity-backed environment is highly desirable.
