Overview of Transport Services Finance Co-ordinator
Pertemps has an exciting opportunity within Harrow Council for a self-driven and motivated Transport Services Finance Co-ordinator to join an expanding team. The role of Housing Assistant Officer has a competitive pay rate of £ 18.21 Payee. Other benefits include excellent training and support for career development and 21 days of holiday (excluding Bank Holidays).
Overview of Transport Services Finance Co-ordinator:
The role involves ensuring robust financial systems and processes are in place, developing new processes where needed, reporting on compliance and escalating where required.
Supporting the Transport Services team and in particular the Special Needs Transport team in managing budgets and forecasting spend.
Raise purchase orders on SAP.
Monthly compilation of performance reports for service areas including data from service areas and financial reconciliation.
Collate data from across the Council to provide business intelligence.
Contribute to workshops to drive service improvement and share best practice.
Carry out periodic stock checks to produce accurate usage and stock information.
Produce monthly journals and invoices for services to ensure all outstanding income items are collected timely.The successful candidate needs to have:
Knowledge of equality issues and commitment to the aims and objectives of the Council's Equal Opportunities Policy and impact.
Working knowledge of and able to use PC based word processing and spreadsheet packages including advanced data analysis techniques.
Experience of working in a finance office environment.
Able to demonstrate experience of reconciling performance data with accounting financial systems to ensure all income and expenditure expected accounted for within a service area with various analytical skills.
Experience of working with customers and key stakeholders and delivering business related activities
Experience and demonstrable in writing performance reports, improvement plans or project plans and procedural documents.
Demonstrate knowledge of working with Financial Regulations.About us
