Job Description:

Our well-known client is looking for a maternity contract cover with an HRIS background, ideally with advanced Excel skills, experience using Workday, and a passion for people data & analysis. The role sits within a UK HR team, covering Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Using Workday Core HCM along with a number of financial modules means strong Workday or HCM system experience is essential. You will be responsible for:

  1. Providing end user support to the team
  2. Producing both monthly and ad-hoc reports and data insights
  3. Supporting ad hoc projects
  4. Performing database maintenance, information, and data insights gathering
  5. Handling data input and troubleshooting problem areas

The HRIS Specialist will serve as the go-to subject matter expert relating to the HRIS Workday database and will be expected to be highly proficient in all matters pertaining to the system.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Maintaining the integrity of data in the HRIS Workday System
  2. Partnering with Finance and HR Managers worldwide to ensure consistency of HR information
  3. Updating relevant departments with any internal employment contract changes
  4. Providing new starters with HRIS training during their on-boarding
  5. Solving database problems identified by Human Resources
  6. Tracking and reviewing all employee absences including maternity/paternity
  7. Spotting trends, making recommendations to address issues, ensuring self-certification forms are completed, coordinating SSP, and producing monthly time tracking payroll reports
  8. Tracking employee annual leave and producing a monthly report for Director of Human Resources and line managers notifying them of outstanding annual leave
  9. Preparing ad hoc reports from the HRIS, manipulating the data ready for presentation to senior management
  10. Preparing all offer letters and contracts for new hires and monitoring the full employee life-cycle including probationary periods
  11. Preparing and mail-merging annual employee salary increase letters and incentive bonus letters
  12. Maintaining and distributing Starters and Leavers report
  13. Providing monthly headcount & location reports to the Senior HR Manager and Director of Human Resources
  14. Undertaking HR project work as required
  15. Assisting with general HR administrative duties as required
Skills And Experience:

Experience of Workday. Minimum two years experience within HR/HRIS, database input, queries, database management, and resolution of database-related problems. Excellent communication skills complemented by high standards of work and presentation. Advanced Excel and strong MS Word and PowerPoint skills. Ability to build excellent working relationships with stakeholders to ensure they are proactively engaged with HR procedures and processes. Self-motivated, possess good planning skills and demonstrate high attention to detail, ensuring the Data Protection Act is adhered to at all times.
