While our strength lies in selling to Tier 1 institutions, we expect the successful candidate to broaden our reach to Tier 2 institutions.

You will ideally have a background in consultative enterprise software selling into the financial services industry.

Location: London, UK . You will be expected to travel regularly.

Objectives of this role

This is an executive role reporting to the CEO. The VP of Sales will be responsible for all sales activity worldwide. You will work with other company leaders to shape the company’s strategy, improve company-wide performance and lead by example. You will be a hands-on leader who gets things done and is ultimately accountable for the successful operation of the commercial machine. The VP will be expected to implement processes and establish a cadence in sales operations suitable for a company with exceptionally high ambition.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute our commercial strategy, focusing on new-name sales and expanding our reach to Tier 2 institutions
  • Lead pitches and close deals, leveraging your expertise in new logo sales. Be hands on to the delivery of the commercial strategy
  • Collaborate with company leaders to set and achieve ambitious ARR targets, both at company level and for salespeople, for which you will be accountable
  • Conduct weekly cadence of group and individual meetings with sales team members to ensure ARR targets are on track.
  • Oversee our geographical expansion, especially into North America
  • Motivate, manage and grow the sales team to facilitate ARR growth
  • Oversee recruitment for the sales team
  • Oversee account management plans with sales account executives
  • Continually build and improve lead generation, closing business, and metric tracking processes. Historically Lead Gen has been generated by word of mouth and our superb advisory board
  • Attend industry events and conferences to generate new business leads, acting as a spokesperson for the company
  • Network with company contacts and partners, as well as your own network, in order to generate new business for the company
  • Report weekly and monthly on sales activity and performance against budget
  • Develop a 30-60-90 day plan to execute in your first 3 months

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience successfully managing consultative sales teams in B2B SaaS, with a focus on landing new logos in competitive situations and non-RFP leads generated by the advisory board
  • Proven track record of achieving ARR targets and driving sales growth
  • Proven track record developing an efficient and successful sales organization
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to inspire sales teams
  • Subject matter knowledge on prudential regulatory reporting and/or extensive software systems experience
  • Excellent knowledge of CRM software and reporting (ideally Salesforce)
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Previous experience working for a competitor in a similar position, or in regulatory reporting, would be a strong advantage
