We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Customer Accounts Officer to join our busy team in all areas of Council rents. This role is a full time role for 12 months only.

You will join us in implementing new processes for more effective rent collection.

You will manage Council rent accounts, engaging with our tenants to build a rapport to support them where appropriate, as well as reducing down the Council’s rent arrears.

You will deal with all stages of rent collection and will be required to ensure that all available enforcement methods are considered and used as appropriate, including applying for possession claims through to eviction where necessary

The post holder will represent at the County Court in matters relating to Housing rents

The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to deal with difficult situations along with the ability to learn, understand and apply complex processes.

The post holder will be required to deal with customer enquiries by telephone, email, composing non standard letters and conducting face to face interviews at the town hall as necessary along with home visits.
