Lightsource is a leading commercial and residential lighting sales and design company, with a growing online presence. Locally we’re responsible for the lighting in projects such as the Grand Central Hotel, the Grand Opera House, Bullitt Hotel, Harp Bar, Ormeau Baths, Chain Reaction Cycles, Randox Health, Hard Rock Hotel Dublin, as well as many more projects in London and overseas. We are a young growing business, with brand new custom built offices and showroom space, and are looking to expand our team. See to learn more about us.

The Opportunity

Fantastic opportunity for an internal sales executive based either in our offices in Belfast or potentially remotely from home. Role comes with a competitive salary & bonus and great team culture. You’ll be supporting the external sales team (generating quotations and sourcing products) and directly handling enquiries coming in from the website and telephone.

The Role

Help support the project team by creating quotations & sourcing products.

Triage inbound sales requests and either handle them yourself or pass them onto relevant team members.

Handle web sales opportunities, including sourcing products, generating quotes, and after sales support.

Liaise with suppliers for pricing, lead times and technical information.

Liaise with clients to answer queries and refine quotations.

Build quotation documents using the internal systems.

Maintain accurate information on CRM and other sales systems.

Follow up on all quotations to encourage timely placement of order.

Requirements

Previous lighting sales or quoting experience.

Good Technical Aptitude – ability to quickly learn basic lighting systems, including LED and dimming technologies.

Good written English - All sales and support interactions involve writing emails or live text chat.

Good general IT / Computer skills - We have multiple computer systems, including email, CRM, order processing, live chat, spreadsheets and our website. Your computer will have 2 monitors to assist working between applications.

Highly organised - You will be dealing with 10 - 40 sales opportunities at any given time, each of which could have multiple aspects to consider and several parties involved

Work well under pressure

Strong grasp of commercial mathematics including discounts and markups, VAT calculations, etc

Good spoken English and phone manner

Keen attention to detail

GCSE Math & English at Grade C or above

Experience in a similar role

Internal sales experience within the electrical industry at either an electrical contractor, wholesaler or lighting supplier

Experience selling lighting products

Desire for self improvement and growth.

Competitive base salary & significant performance bonus

30 days holidays increasing to 35 over time
