As we continue to uphold our commitment to excellence and inclusivity, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join our team.
As a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all students, regardless of their abilities or challenges, receive the support and guidance they need to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with students, teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective strategies that promote inclusion and remove barriers to learning.
Lead the provision of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) support across the school, ensuring that all students with SEND have access to high-quality education and support.
Provide guidance and support to teachers in implementing effective teaching strategies and accommodations for students with SEND.
Work closely with parents/carers to ensure that their perspectives and concerns are incorporated into the planning and delivery of support services.
Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in SEND education.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Recognized qualification in Special Educational Needs Coordination (SENCo) or willingness to work towards obtaining one.
Proven experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a school setting.
Excellent knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices.
Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity in education.
