This is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employee returns from maternity leave. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be later than 01-Mar-2026. Please note the advertised salary is inclusive of a £5k reviewable market supplement. Your base salary will be between £33k and £39.5k and you will receive the market supplement as an allowance on top. If you thrive in a collaborative working culture where learning is constant, then this role is for you. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. What you'll be doing You’ll provide specialist Reward advice and guidance to the wider people team and people managers, ensuring that all Reward elements are managed consistently, fairly and are compliant with employment legislation. You’ll be involved in developing, maintaining, and communicating new and existing benefits and recognition tools, ensuring the Reward portfolio meets the needs of our diverse range of people and increases motivation and engagement. You’ll work closely with the Reward & Recognition Manager and a small Reward team on all the annual Reward activities. You’ll support work to improve and maintain our role profile library, and you’ll also be directly involved in our job evaluation process. You don't need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what is possible in this role. For this position were looking for someone who has:

  • An analytical mindset, statistical analysis and the ability to identify themes and trends
  • Experience of using Excel and confidence using Vlookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Knowledge of staff benefits
  • Experience with job evaluation methods, in particular Hay
  • Communication skills, dealing with people with tact and sensitivity
  • Previous experience of Reward, HR/People or other business operations functions
