Success Recruit are currently working with a growing heating supplier in Essex who are looking to recruit a highly motivated & results driven Business Development Specialist to support with growth and long term development of the business. The desired BDM will thrive building and maintaining relationships, as well as demonstrating strong negotiation skills in relation to attracting new business. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth & generating new sales opportunities through telemarketing, face-to-face meetings, and meaningful interactions via social channels and marketing. The successful Business Development Specialist will be expected to:

  • Have previous experience in a Business Development and sales environment
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, rapport skills, and a can-do attitude
  • Exhibit a clear understanding of processes / supply chain within sales
  • Ideally have experience in the electrical industry or have a willingness to learn the industry
The successful Business Development Specialist will be rewarded with:

Job specification Purpose of the role: The main objective of the BDM is to identify prospective leads, present the business’s products in a friendly professional manner, and ultimately encourage business growth through repeat purchases. The ideal candidate will ideally have experience working closely with electrical contractors and be confident introducing products to wholesalers as well. The successful Business Development Specialist will require excellent communication and a proactive approach to working. Duties will include:
  • Conducting outbound calls to contractors and wholesale customers, introducing products and services with knowledge, confidence, and personability.
  • Identifying and qualifying leads through effective questioning and listening techniques.
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of potential clients.
  • Following up on leads and scheduling appointments (face to face or virtually).
  • Researching competitors within the field.
  • Keeping track and reporting on sales activities & outcomes.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to all new prospects and repeat customers.
This position would suit somebody personable and driven, who is able to sell products effectively as well as offer insightful product knowledge. Previous experience in the electrical / mechanical industry would be beneficial but not essential. This position could also assist an electrical contractor / engineer who would like to transition their career further into a sales position. Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm Salary: Circa £45k plus + company car allowance – Bonus to be discussed at interview.
