Watford (Hertfordshire) Position Overview: We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our supply desk for healthcare placements. Care Workers on our supply desk have the flexibility to choose assignments that suit their availability and preferences, providing care and support to individuals in various healthcare settings. Key Responsibilities: Provide compassionate and person-centered care to clients in accordance with their individual care plans and needs. Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Support clients with mobility and transfers, using safe lifting and positioning techniques as required. Administer medication under the direction of healthcare professionals and assist with medication management. Monitor clients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Foster positive relationships with clients and their families, promoting social engagement and companionship. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Collaborate effectively with members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care. Qualifications: Previous experience in a care-related role preferred but not required; training will be provided. Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues. Reliable and responsible, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting clients' privacy and dignity. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment. Basic proficiency in written and spoken English. Willingness to undergo background checks and relevant clearance procedures.
