Reporting to the Agent-General for Queensland, you will lead the interests of Queensland in the UK market through the identification, promotion and facilitation of trade and investment opportunities in the Queensland Government’s key industry sectors.
Maintain and strengthen Queensland’s position by developing strategic relations and contacts with businesses, governments, industry allies and peak bodies, and creative industries and sporting interests.
Assist managing representative, trade and investment missions including the preparation of visit programs, and accompanying official and business delegations
Support Queensland companies to pursue trade and investment outcomes by providing market intelligence, business leads, advice, introductions and screening of partners, participating in trade and investment shows, business matching services, and other activities as required
Work closely with and support Queensland businesses, suppliers, educational institutions, and other organisations that are looking for buyers, partners, investors or allies
Provide accurate and timely market intelligence and strategic advice to the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Queensland Government departments and Queensland companies
Work closely with the TIQ global network and Queensland stakeholders, including Brisbane and Queensland regional office staff, to co-ordinate joint trade and investment activities, promotion of TIQ interests and business missions and client support
Develop and implement trade and investment strategies and action plans, and initiate and manage strategic projects
Language – High level written and spoken English language is essential for success
