Carter Murray is pleased to be partnering with a global and leading telecommunications infrastructure company who are looking to hire an experienced Head of Business Development. My client owns and operates a portfolio if telecom infrastructure, which providesservices to mobile network operators.

**Overview**

As the Head of Business Development, the individual will sit within the Commercial Department reporting to the Business Development Director. You will be responsible for leading both the day-to-day activities and heading you longer term projects. As Headof Business Development, you will lead on a diverse range of activities such as due diligence on assets, evaluation of M&A opportunities, review of new capital projects, building strategic relationships and horizon spotting.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Direct / operationalise the strategy to have direct impact to the achievement of results for the function.
- Lead functional operational delivery to produce a major impact on the organisation in the short to mid-term (e.g. 1 - 3 years).
- Ensure appropriate selection and organisation of talent for the department and sub-functions.
- Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals within the function, is the principal SME.

**Business Development**
- Leading origination of new greenfield and M&A opportunities
- Establishing and growing stakeholder network in HT's existing and new markets

**Mergers &Acquisitions**
- Leading M&A processes and acting as the key contact point between internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure effective review of financial modelling and commercial analysis of M&A/ greenfield projects
- Leading all due diligence aspects
- Ensure integrity of internal documents, including investment memos and board presentations
- Leading preparation of relevant marketing materials for external stakeholders, including customers, investors and regulatory bodies
- Leading negotiation of deal documentation and customer contracts

**Systems and Processes**
- Recommends and implements new products, processes, policies, standards or operating plans in support of functional strategy.
- Responsible for making modifications to processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the region / country function.

**Negotiation and Influencing**
- Able to utilise skills to Influence senior executive leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the function.
- Able to utilise skills to Influence internal and external parties, in order to accept concepts, practices and approaches.
- Able to persuade senior leaders to support your idea in a group situation.
- Able to negotiate leadership sponsorship for an initiate.

**Solving Complex Problems**
- Able to utilise skills to Influence senior executive leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the function.
- Able to utilise skills to Influence internal and external parties, to accept concepts, practices and approaches.
- Able to persuade senior leaders to support your idea in a group situation.
- Able to negotiate leadership sponsorship for an initiative.

**Requirements for the Role**

To succeed in the role, you will be/will have:

- Minimum of 7-10 years' experience
- Experience within corporate finance/ investment banking (in-house corporate development, M&A/ECM advisory, leveraged finance, project finance or equity research), strategy consulting, private equity, Big 4 transaction advisory services or a combinationof the above
- Experience within telecom sector either in-house or as an advisor required
- Willingness and ability to travel at short notice
- French and/or Arabic language skills
