As part of an exciting period of expansion within the fundraising team, we are looking to recruit a Trusts andFoundations Fundraiser. This role will be integral in supporting the diversification of our income streams andfocus on this important area of fundraising, creating more opportunities for giving across Scotland.

The Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser role will support the Partnerships and Philanthropy Lead in developing andcultivating a portfolio of trust fundraising and will be central to the successful delivery of our ambitiousfundraising strategy. You will be responsible for researching, identifying, and producing high quality bids aswell as supporting with required reporting.

Alongside this, you will play an active role in developing our supporter journeys and maintaining and utilisingfinancial and supporter data to improve and develop our fundraising offer. As part of the role, you will befundamental in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships across the trusts and foundationslandscape.

As an ambassador for MND Scotland, and a first point of contact for many supporters, you will be a confidentcommunicator with a passion for working with people throughout the community. You will be highly organised, andable to run projects on time and on budget.

We are looking for a highly motivated fundraising manager to join our growing fundraising team as Partnerships andPhilanthropy Lead. This role will join us at an exciting time of growth to deliver a successful Partnerships andPhilanthropy strategy.

In this role, you will be central to the successful delivery of our ambitious fundraising strategy, using operationaland financial planning skills to develop and implement a successful portfolio for giving across Scotland.Working with a mixed audience of Trusts and Corporates, you will lead on delivering first-class supporterexperiences through the creation of an innovative and engaging portfolio. You will work with the Head ofFundraising to create the infrastructure required for Partnerships and Philanthropy to thrive, developing, andmanaging existing relationships, whilst building new opportunities.

As Partnerships and Philanthropy Lead you will be an inspiring leader and play a vital role in driving a step changein high value fundraising, securing multiyear funding, and establishing meaningful relationships in thisarena.

You will be an ambassador for MND Scotland, building relationships across the MND community to further our mission tomake time count for everyone in Scotland affected by MND.

Everything we do, and the way in which we do it, puts the MND Community at our core. The Welfare Rights Advisor’srole is to ensure provision of the advice and practical assistance needed to maximise the financial supportavailable to individuals and families affected by MND.

Reporting to the organisation’s Welfare Rights Lead, you will ensure that people with MND and their families haveaccess to the benefits to which they’re entitled. Ensuring provision of the advice and practical assistanceneeded to maximise the financial support available to individuals and families affected by MND. You will workwith people affected by MND to identify their entitlements, based on their individual circumstances, and submitappropriate applications. Liaising with public bodies, as required, assisting clients in navigating oftencomplex application processes and ensuring speedy access to benefits. Reassuring people with MND that they arebeing supported through a difficult situation.

You will be a highly motivated individual, have experience in welfare and benefits, have excellent communicationskills and enjoy new challenges. A clear understanding of statutory welfare and benefits systems and processesis essential. As well as an awareness of the barriers faced by people with significant illnesses in society.This will enable people with MND to spend their precious time building special memories with their families,rather than worrying about their finances.

You will provide high level administrative, strategic planning and operational support; manage financial matters andhelp with budgets and financial projections; help develop policies, rules and guidelines for the wholeorganisation; offer advice and support to senior management; prepare reports and submissions about theALLIANCE's resources and operations and help with staff management.

You will have:

  • Accounting qualification, ideally Chartered (ACCA)
  • Proven experience of working in corporateservices
  • Previous experience of using Sage Line 50 accounts
  • Ability to horizon scan to identifyopportunities and risks
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience of staff management within anorganisation
  • Experience of day-to-day management of the finance function
  • Experience of managingthe IT function within an organisation
  • Experience of preparing budgets and quarterly managementaccounts, including variance analyses and reforecasting
  • Experience of preparing and submitting VATreturns
  • Experience of month end, quarter end and year end finances
  • Demonstrable skills inbusiness administration and leadership skills
  • Experience ofoffice management and ability to establish, oversee and develop the organisation’s infrastructure
  • ITskills in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and financial packages
  • Flexible approach

It would be desirable for you to have experience of:

  • Understanding of membership organisations
