IT Service Desk Adviser (Azure, Intune, Sentinel)

£35k - £37k - Hybrid working (2 days from office) - Remote interview slots are available next week.

The client have multiple UK offices covering the Midlands, the North and South West (no London or South East office)

Please note, that for this role commercial experience of Azure, Intune and Sentinel are a prerequisite. If you do not have vast experience of all 3, you cannot be considered for this role.

The primary purpose of this post is to deliver high quality, IT technical support, and services to the organisation's staff, working in conjunction with other Teams, and 3rd party support partners. You will be dealing with complex IT issues, problems, and projects requiring timely action, bringing them to a successful and prompt resolution. All services provided will be delivered professionally, courteously, with high quality customer service and interaction being key to our service delivery model. The IT Service Desk Senior Adviser will take a proactive approach to support, in identifying and interpreting trends, and recommending appropriate solutions to put in-place.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Adhere to ITIL standards and processes
  • Adhere to incident, change, problem and asset management processes
  • Interpret complex problems and identify solutions, interrogating data sources and working with wider industry to expand technical knowledge
  • Embed and promote a culture a cyber security awareness across the organisation
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft systems, M365, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure and associated IT Admin tools
  • Commercial experience of configuration and management of security tools (Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, NESSUS, DarkTrace)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft InTune for deployment of applications, device management and compliance (endpoint security), and policy configuration
  • Basic grasp of PowerShell Scripting
