The Role

As Senior Associate, Commercial Incentives, you will be responsible for managing Deliveroo’s approach to commercial incentives. You will work with our local markets to define commercial teams’ KPIs and incentive plans that align with Deliveroo’s business and financial objectives. You will support local market leadership, ensuring schemes are understood and embedded in their day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for managing the schemes on an ongoing basis, helping to reduce the administrative burden locally.

This role forms part of a team of commercial enablement experts across insights, commercial learning, and change management. You will play a key role within this team, enhancing the capability and effectiveness of commercial teams in all markets.

What you’ll be responsible for

Facilitating the design of efficient and effective commercial incentive schemes


  • Be the subject matter expert for the design of commercial incentives, keeping abreast of subject matter trends that can benefit Deliveroo.
  • Provide recommendations to local commercial leaders as they define their incentive schemes; support them to assess the trade-offs between different design options.
  • Conduct initial impact assessments of proposed schemes under different scenarios (e.g. what will be the total cost and payout distribution of future schemes based on current behaviours).
  • Support local commercial leaders to prepare their “go-to-market” for new incentive schemes such that they are clear and engaging for the incentive participants.

Owning the ongoing management of incentive schemes


  • Design the workflows and tooling to facilitate the ongoing management of schemes once rolled out.
  • Build and utilise tools to aid local leaders with target setting.
  • Own the monthly and quarterly calculation of all incentive plans (in collaboration with the Reporting team). Ensure data quality and consistency in the commission tools.
  • Collaborate with our product team to migrate management of our schemes from spreadsheets into a new, engaging, easy-to-use system.
  • Develop performance reporting that helps to identify areas for improvement in the design of the incentive plans.
