Salary: £75,000 to £80,000 + bonus + on-call (£3,500+) per annum
Our client is a well-established financial services firm based in Central London.
They have over 1200 staff across 2 main offices, with 8 people in their IT Infrastructure team.
With the majority of our infrastructure in Azure and a small part still on-premise, this role is mostly hands-on (75%), complemented by 25% focused on design, policy, process, and documentation.

You will play a crucial role in the organisation's transformation, blending technological advancements with strategic insight to enhance our infrastructure.

Undertake analysis of technical infrastructure issues, opportunities and requirements, translating these into technical designs that describe a solution and building these into the future design patterns.
Act as a technical authority on the design and specification of standardised cloud resources and related automation solutions, to reduce or eliminate manual or repetitive tasks, improve end-to-end infrastructure health and system performance
Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions that are secure by design, implement policies that ensure cloud infrastructure solutions remain secure, including identity and access management, patching and disaster recovery.
Support and design and implementation of processes and controls that assure maximum uptime and quick service to stakeholders for both physical and cloud-based workloads
Essential Skills and personal qualities
Office 365/Azure
Extensive experience of infrastructure within a DevOps environment
Strong and demonstrable experience of physical infrastructure technologies, including IP based networks, WAN technologies, virtualisation, DHCP/DNS and SAN/NAS storage
Experience with Linux OS's and Bash scripting
