An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our busy and friendly ENT team at Pilgrim Hospital. The successful candidate will be an exceptional, dedicated nurse with the drive and ambition to provide and maintain the highest standards of patient care. Provide a high standard of patient care, recognising the needs of the individual patients using assessment and evaluation skills
Provide leadership, supervision and support for junior members of staff. Act as a clinic co-ordinator ensuring the smooth running of the clinic and deal with situations as they arise, i.e. unavailable notes, missing reports, patients wishing to complain, medical staff arriving late etc.
To act as a health educator, ensuring that patients and their carers have an understanding and knowledge of their illness and have understood their consultation and any investigations required
Regularly use computer technology during the clinic session
In conjunction with the outpatients Sister investigate and resolve complaints / incidents
