Lincoln Lincolnshire, United Kingdom United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust Full time

Are you a strong communicator, have good organisational skills, able to work autonomously and manage you work load effectively? Then we are looking for YOU

We are seeking a experienced paediatric nurse who is a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Band 6 Junior Sister / Charge Nurse.

This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative, dynamic and enthusiastic registered Children's nurse who is looking to expand their knowledge and experience working with children and young people on ULHT's Rainforest Ward, the Children's in-patient ward at Lincoln County Hospital

Main duties of the job

The ward provides compassionate care for Children and Young People from 0 to 16 years of age. Providing care for a mixture of specialties, general medical, surgical, orthopaedic, ENT, ophthalmology and other conditions including High Dependency Care.

This Band 6 role will require someone who wants to develop themselves in a very supportive environment. You will need to enjoy leading a team, whilst ensuring the focus is on delivering high quality evidence-based care to the child and family. You will need to actively participate in ensuring the governance agenda is met and that the Trust objectives are at the centre of everything you do. You will also have the opportunity to work across the Paediatric services within the trust.

You will need to be competent, caring and compassionate, with the proven ability to work individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidates will need to demonstrate their commitment to continuously developing professionally whilst supporting junior colleagues in an acute clinical environment.

We have much to offer any candidate who joins our friendly team. Indeed, we recognise that it is also about you. As a unit we have an active preceptorship and a supportive education programme, and we encourage all staff to undertake courses to ensure their continued development.
