Greetwell Ward is a 27 bedded acute surgical ward, specialising in ENT, maxfax, and general surgery. It provides the highest quality of nursing care to both male and female patients, on emergency and planned admission pathways.

As a band 6 Deputy Sister you will be expected to oversee the management of staff, coordinate flow, and support junior staff. There will be lots of opportunities to learn and develop the more management side of the role.

We offer support, guidance and training relevant to the clinical area within a friendly patient-centred environment, encouraging personal and professional development facilitated by our other band 6 Deputy Sister and the Ward Manager.

Highly motivated individuals with experience in nursing and who are keen to contribute and develop the patient experience and ward. Greetwell is a busy environment, but if you are ready for a challenge this post has the potential for many rewards. The band 6 will be expected to manage the ward in the Ward Sister's absence and will assist the ward sister in appraisals, managing attendance and audits.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential with an ability to prioritise workload and work in accordance with the Trust Policies/Guidelines.
