We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Freelance Water Site Manager to oversee a crucial CSO (Combined Sewer Overflow) shaft project as part of the Yorkshire Water Framework. This project that will enhance water management infrastructure in the region. The Freelance Water Site Manager will come from a background in Water Framework Projects and be number 1 on site reporting to a visiting Project Manager.
The Role:
As Freelance Water Site Manager you will be responsible for the running and successful delivery of a CSO Shaft in the Humber area. The successful candidate will be number one on site reporting to a visiting Project Manager.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the CSO shaft construction and associated civils
• Ensure all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and within budget.
• Lead a team on site fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Ensure all work adheres to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Enforce strict health and safety protocols on-site at all times.
• Liaise with project stakeholders, including Yorkshire Water representatives.
• Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the project maintaining project momentum.
The Candidate:
• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the water or utilities sector.
• In-depth knowledge of CSO shaft construction processes and best practices.
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field.
• CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid certification are mandatory.
