London, United Kingdom Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust Full time

The South East Genomic Medicine Service (SE GMS) is seeking a highly motivated, personable and flexible individual to join our dynamic team as an Expert Network Coordinator. This role will join a network of professionals dedicated to the effective management of the lynch syndrome pathway across the south east.

The Expert Network Coordinator will be a central point of contact within the regional Lynch Syndrome project team and will ensure equity of access for patients within the region. This role will take an active role in the support of mainstreamed pathways and ensure consistency of service provision across organisational boundaries.

It is an exciting time to join this innovative healthcare field as genomics gathers pace across multiple areas of medicine, delivering better and faster outcomes for patients. The post holder will have the opportunity to create meaningful impact in a new, cutting-edge genomics service in the NHS, working with a diverse range of stakeholders to support the delivery of optimum patient care.

The post holder will have exceptional drive and take a flexible approach in responding to changing demands. A track record establishing collaborative relationships across organisational boundaries will be an asset, as will experience in genomics or a related clinical discipline.
The Expert Network Coordinator will be responsible for the embedding of regional pathway transformation through close working with colorectal and endometrial cancer MDTs. You will take an active role in the management of multi-disciplinary team meetings and monitor key performance indicators of a complex multi-organisational service.

The post holder will support key projects of change and will provide administrative support across a broad range of activities. You will support the development of project initiatives, service changes and service reviews, to enhance services on behalf of patients.

The post holder will support the further development of the expert network for Lynch Syndrome in the south east, working alongside clinical and administrative professionals to support sustained clinical pathway change.

The post holder will ensure that all work is designed and delivered in a patient centred way, ensuring that the needs of patients are central to all service change and pathway transformation.

The post holder will ensure all work is designed and delivered in alignment with the GMS's commitment to reducing variation and to delivering equity of access across our diverse population, including alignment with the SE GMS equality, diversity and inclusion strategy.
Together, seven Genomic Laboratory Hubs (GLH) and Genomic Medicine Service Alliances (GMSA) across England form the national NHS Genomic Medicine Service.

We jointly deliver standardised genomic testing pathways in accordance with the National Genomic Test Directory and support the systematic embedding of genomic medicine in to routine care. Our aim is to reduce unwarranted variation and make demonstrable improvements to outcomes for our patients by ensuring their clinical care fully benefits from advances in genomics.

The South East Genomic Medicine Service Alliance is co-hosted by Guy's and St Thomas's NHS Foundation Trust and St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

We aim to combine clinical expertise, an excellent track record in research, education and training, and involvement from our patients and public to achieve a step change in delivering genomics medicine for our population.
