We are looking for a Dispensing Optician, 24 hours per week (Wednesday's, Thursday's and Fridays' no Saturday's or Sunday's) to join our team in Maidstone. We will also pay your professional fees (GOC and professional indemnity which is currently the AOP - pro rata for part time hours).

As an integral member of the team, we will provide our Dispensing Optician with an enjoyable professional working environment which is fun, open and where we are committed to supporting you, your professional development, and your personal wellbeing. When you join Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists as our Dispensing Optician, you are joining an independent business. Although we are national, we are not a huge chain which means we understand the importance of local relationships and the power of choice. We have the latest diagnostic equipment, the latest technological advances in contact lenses, spectacle lenses and frames, and the latest fashions.

At Bayfields, we are passionate about the services we provide our clients so as our Dispensing Optician, you will work closely with our Optometrists to determine the best solutions for your clients and their lifestyles. It’s not all about dispensing, fitting and adjusting spectacles or even teaching clients how to use contact lenses, it’s about you delivering obsessively great service every step of client journey and putting your clients at the forefront of their time in the practice. Our ideal Dispensing Optician candidate must be a qualified, and GOC registered Dispensing Optician. We want you to have excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to build strong relationships with your team members, peers, and clients.
