As the Technology Lead for Financial & Quant Applications, you will be a key leader responsible for overseeing the technology strategy, development, and implementation of financial and quantitative applications. Leveraging your expertise in both technology and finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological direction, ensuring innovation, and optimising performance in alignment with business objectives.

  Responsibilities:

  1. Technology Strategy and Leadership:
  • Develop and execute the technology strategy for financial and quantitative applications, aligning with business goals and market trends.
  • Provide visionary leadership to technology teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Quantitative Cloud Solution:
  • Lead the implementation of advanced quantitative models, leveraging mathematical and statistical techniques to support financial decision-making.
  • Collaborate with quantitative analysts and data scientists to enhance models and algorithms.
  • Technology Stack and Architecture:
  • Make strategic decisions regarding technology stack, architecture, and infrastructure to support the scalability and reliability of financial and quantitative applications (parallel compute, distributed systems).
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their applicability to enhance existing systems.
  • Team Management:
  • Build and lead a high-performing technology team, providing mentorship and guidance to foster professional growth.
  • Collaborate with HR to attract, recruit, and retain top talent.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, including finance teams, traders, and risk management, to understand their needs and translate them into effective technology solutions.
  • Foster strong collaboration between technology and business teams.
  • Ideally a Master's degree in Computer Science.
  • Proven leadership experience in technology roles related to financial applications.
  • Demonstrable experience working FIX protocol.
  • Proficiency in Rust (a must) and Python.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, quantitative modelling, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the development of financial software applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives
