FINTEC recruit is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for our international engineering/marine client based near Glasgow. As a Mechanical Supervisor you will be leading and managing a mechanical trades team and planning and scheduling work packages. This is a permanent role with salary up to £45,000 plus pension and benefits, working Monday to Friday standard hours, overtime available. Responsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, testing and commissioning on marine equipment/machinery. Follow current processes and look to increase productivity and control of work processes for Safety in line with best practice and company standards/policies Manage Sub-contractors including reviews and quality of output Skills and Experience required for the Mechanical Supervisor – Trades role: Mechanical or Marine Engineering apprenticeship or Qualified to SVQ level 3 (Or NVQ & C&G equivalent) or HNC and above in mechanical engineeringPrevious supervisory or first line management experience gained within a mechanical or marine engineering discipline Ability to lead and develop a team of Trades resource, providing reports for senior management as required Experience of working to defined work packages/schedules Good planning and communication skills liaising with project engineers and internal teams Experience of delivery of maintenance procedures, production of risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments and Safe Systems of Work with excellent team leading skills.
