  • Evaluate subcontractor proposals and seek clarifications as needed.
  • Review subcontractor work to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Provide regular progress reports.
  • Support the Project Manager in daily project management and collaborate with team members to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Maintain the site work program and ensure necessary inputs are provided to the planning team.
  • Ensure compliance with all company obligations as Principal Contractor under relevant legislation.
  • Ensure site welfare arrangements meet industry standards.
  • Identify additional work requirements beyond the contract and manage the preparation of necessary documentation.

Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include C&G/ONC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and IOSH Managing Safely certification.

SMSTS

Experience:

  • Familiarity with Mechanical & Electrical construction and installation techniques.
  • Experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of substation equipment.
  • Understanding of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations and the roles of Principal Contractor and Contractor.
  • Leadership experience in site construction.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations and Principal Contractor responsibilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HSE in construction.
  • Experience in budget management and construction program planning.
