Our client is looking for a QC Inspector / Workshop Fitter for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen

ROLE

This dual-role position is crucial to ensuring the quality and functionality of our equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality control (QC) inspections and performing various workshop/ fitter duties within our manufacturing / service workshop.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality Control Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of parts to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications. Document and report / raise NCR for any discrepancies or defects.

Dimensional inspection to tight tolerances
Thread gauging.
Reviewing material certification
Conducting material hardness tests
Adhere to established quality control procedures and protocols.
Take ownership of calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
Identify potential quality issues and proactively communicate them to supervisors.
Workshop Duties: Assist with the assembly, maintenance, and repair of equipment. Ensure all work is performed to high standards of safety and quality.

Fitter Duties: Perform mechanical fitting tasks, Use various tools and equipment to complete tasks efficiently.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Prepare detailed reports and ensure all documentation is up to date

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers and project managers, to ensure seamless operations and high-quality outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: Previous experience in QC inspection, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using inspection tools and workshop equipment.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to inspections and quality control processes.
Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
Flexibility: Willingness to undertake various tasks as required and adapt to changing priorities
