General Operative

If you have experience working in a civils/building environment, then we would love to hear from you.

Reporting to a Site Manager, you will undertake groundworks, working on drainage, roads and sewers, retail units, carrying out flood repair work and general civil engineering works.

We are looking for positive, enthusiastic people who enjoy the outdoors, working as part of a team. A full UK driving licence would be required as well as, a valid CSCS card, dumper and roller tickets . Some additional weekend working may be required on occasion.

You will need to be positive, enthusiastic and solution focussed, great at building and maintaining relationships. You will have experience of working in a similar site based role and have good safety awareness.

Competitive rates of pay are on offer as well as the opportunity to gain additional competencies through training. We also offer an annual Christmas Bonus and reward success in various ways, whether that be by arranging social events or providing a team breakfast on site. Due to the nature of our business, there is the potential to work weekends with our Rail division where enhanced weekend rates of pay are on offer.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Experience in working in a civils construction business.
  • A full driving licence
  • Dumper and Roller Tickets desirable
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Excellent communication and teamworking ability
