Role Description

Reporting into our Head of HR, as a HR Business Partner you will be partnering with our managers to influence, support and coach them on people issues and topics in support of them achieving their business objectives and providing first line commercially focused advice and guidance; acting as the first point of contact for all people related queries ensuring all queries are seen through to resolution as quickly and efficiently as possible.

You’ll provide focused HR advice around employee relations activities such as absence management, disciplinary and grievance, with a view of driving a high-performing culture whilst collaborating closely with the wider People team to ensure consistency in approach and advice given.

You’ll proactively work with the business to understand the key business issues, spotting trends and taking positive action to progress the people agenda and embed excellent people practices; you’ll do this whilst promoting our wellbeing policies and initiatives that support a healthy and sustainable workforce, ensuring our colleagues makes effective use of the available benefits and services on offer.

Role Purpose

We require you to:

  • Delivering key HR initiatives across the HR spectrum, including restructuring, pay and reward, employee relations, employee engagement and performance management.
  • Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
  • Partnering with senior leadership to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of a business
  • Management of complex employee relations issues
  • Collaborate with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired

Role Responsibilities

As part of delivering this role, you will typically be:

  • Delivering key HR initiatives across the HR spectrum, management, pay and reward, employee relations, employee engagement and performance management.

About you:

To succeed, you will ideally have:

We’re looking for an experienced HR Professional, you’ll be at least CIPD level 5 qualified or equivalent with a range of practical, generalist HR experience and the ability to influence business managers and leaders across a diverse customer group. You’ll have extensive experience in proactive partnering with line managers to support and advise them on HR issues such as sickness absence, disciplinaries, grievances and redundancies with the ability to act confidentially, with discretion and diplomacy at all times.

  • IT- solid experience of using Excel and able to manipulate data as well as extensive experience in MS Office applications
  • Interpersonal skills – builds positive relationships at all levels

Qualifications & Memberships:

  • Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. CIPD level 5 or 7 or working towards this
