Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Performance & Reporting Analyst (Project Controls Engineer Grade) to join our busy and expanding, Bristol based, Defence team, who are undertaking a range of Controls & Performance duties on several high-profile Infrastructure Projects/Programmes. Additionally, this role will provide the opportunity to innovate, collaborate and learn from our experienced and award-winning Performance & Reporting community and wider extensive Controls and Performance Network.

Key Responsibilities

Working alongside project delivery teams as part of a wider reporting & performance management team or independently with reach back support to experienced performance & reporting professionals, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Effective implementation of defined project reporting processes.

Working with the Integrated Project Team to establish a robust, integrated, well structured, accurate Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and support the change control process.

Development, performance analysis and maintenance of corporate datasets.

Working with other Project Controls disciplines to ensure alignment of project information.

Provide guidance and advice on data quality issues to a wide variety of data providers.

Carry out variance and trend analytics on corporate datasets with written findings and performance narrative.

Creation and maintenance of project performance reports and dashboards.

Challenging performance information to ensure it is realistic, robust and stands up to scrutiny.

Provide performance observations to relevant stakeholders and management, to support effective decision making.

Qualifications

Capability in the use of Excel with ability to write macros to create automated dashboards, graphs, and tables.

Can produce high quality reports in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.

Familiarity with Power BI or other Business Intelligence Analytics tools to create interrogatable dashboards.

Experience in a project or programme environment is essential.

A basic understanding of how other aspects of Project Controls (Scheduling, Cost Control, Change Control) interact with Reporting is desirable.

Demonstrable track record in identifying reporting and data requirements and documenting these using the appropriate types of tools and documentation is desirable.

In order to progress your application, it is essential that you are a sole British national passport holder, with current security clearance, or the ability to achieve this.
