The Senior Performance Analyst position within the Director of Regulation’s Divisional Support Unit is pivotal, acting as the primary liaison for performance reporting and delivery across three Operational Divisions. This role is both influential and prominent, ensuring high-quality reporting and performance insights for operational divisions.

Occasional travel may be necessary for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of performance analysts, providing guidance and support.
  • Lead the creation, analysis, and narrative development for various standardized reports and operational dashboards, assisting Divisional Leadership and Unit Heads in effective workload management and performance monitoring against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Deliver Divisional-level management information to Senior Leadership Teams, highlighting trends and indicators that support regulatory delivery and the achievement of HSE’s KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the Divisional Support Team to design and conduct in-depth analyses of performance data, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Serve as the main contact for corporate performance and business intelligence, ensuring alignment of divisional reporting across operational divisions.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports, managing data retrieval and validation to produce clear, concise reporting for senior leaders, including drafting briefings for high-profile stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of regulatory activities in accordance with operational standards, addressing any data quality issues impacting KPI achievement.
  • Design and implement proactive monitoring strategies for regulatory delivery, facilitating effective case management aligned with HSE’s KPIs.

Person Specification

Essential Skills and Criteria

  • Proven leadership capabilities with strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Experience in a similar performance-focused role within large operational divisions in a complex or regulatory environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Power BI, and PowerAutomate, with foundational knowledge of Power Apps.
  • Expertise in developing comprehensive performance reporting and dashboards, including lead indicators for regulatory processes.
  • Adept at analyzing large datasets and providing timely, accurate responses to complex inquiries.
  • Experience in data analytics, with the ability to engage with experts to interpret regulatory processes and present data effectively.
  • Skilled in managing stakeholder relationships across multiple regulatory divisions, collaborating on new reporting methodologies.
